Jon Burden

Jon is a highly competent, versatile engineer and senior manager, with a track record of turning round engineering projects in difficulties. An individual with highly effective negotiation and customer service expertise, alongside the ability to effect change through teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, whilst consistently using effective budget control.

Jon has considerable experience in the design, integration and operability of sonar systems. He has worked with the MoD on a number of experimental and development sonar systems, witnessing the project life cycle from concept through design, trials and Fleet acceptance.

Jon has used his knowledge of sonar in the wider field of Combat System Design and has considerable knowledge of the UK’s S&T, Astute and Successor Combat Systems, specifically in the integration of the Sonar and Command System and the introduction of Open Systems Architectures.

In October 2003 with 3 colleagues he established Advansys Solutions Limited, a high technology consultancy and engineering company.

Eur Ing Peter Don-Duncan

Peter graduated in Electronics from the University of Manchester followed by a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Open University. He has worked in the Maritime sector in various engineering and technical roles for over 40 years.

During this time he has been a technical leader for the development of several large and complex active and passive ASW Sonar systems. He has previously led a number of UK MoD/Dstl research programmes frequently working with academia and SME’s on innovative future technology solutions.
